I'm a mother. I went through a purgatory. Something in me died and something was born. Motherhood means being consumed by one's own instincts. The year is 2019 and mothers are becoming an endangered species. Fewer and fewer women are willing to let their current selves die so that a mother can be born instead. Is there a reason to ask why?
